Flat Warts or the Wart Virus? 1 Reply
Does anyone else have a problem with flat warts? I've had then on my legs for the past 8 years or so and I've not been able to find a doctor that can help find a cure or any help with this problem....

One bout with cmv, rsv, and an irregular heart beat, that is hopefully fixed! I'm not sure if it is because of my two wonderful little boys or in spite of them (little germ carriers!)! No rejection so far, but I got tired of waiting for the shoe to drop and I live my life to the fullest (within the parameters set by Johns Hopkins, of course!)

Too many people ignore the close inter-relation between kidney diseases and diabetes or hypertension. Worldwide, 246 million people suffer from diabetes and the figure is expected to reach 380 million by 2025. Diabetic nephropathy affects a third of people suffering from diabetes. HELLO, MY FATHER HAD A DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT 3 YEARS AGO. WE ARE HAPPY TO HAVE IN WITH US AND SAD THAT ONE PERSON HAD TO DIE. THE EMOTIONS ARE SO MIXED UP. NOT SURE WHAT TO SAY TO THE DONOR FAMILY. I WISH I HAD THE WORDS FOR THEM. THEY ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE.

Comment by Kathryn Flynn on July 6, 2009 at 5:24pm - I am having a similar issue post-transplant. Have your docs tried using IVIG and plasmaphoresis? This is more drastic but if your panel reactive antibodies remain high they can't risk transplanting.I am so sorry you are having this issue. It is a tough one.

Comment by Melinda Kay Abernathey on July 5, 2009 at 7:17am - Hi, I have been on the Lung Transplant list almost 2 years now and it seems that I may be on it longer as they are having problems finding a donor as I have a very high count of antibodies which is stopping me from getting transplanted. My doctors are trying to remove these B cells but it seems that this did not react the way that it has on other people. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

It is nice to meet others who are soo many years out as well. Other people say I am an inspiration to them but some of you are an inspiration to me!

My transplant is getting very close.
This is my first posting in quite some time. The last 6 months I have been waiting for different things to happen and it has been both an exciting and frustrating time. A friend who became a client of mine at the chiropractor asked me if she could donate one of her kidneys to me; I gladly accepted. She gave 13 vile's of blood and off to the lab it went. Hello Everyone,I am new here so I just wanted to introduce myself. I had my liver transplant 16yrs ago in October. My name is Reagan and I live in Virginia. At 7 weeks my parents found out I had Biliary atresia. They did except me to live to the age of 2. I did great until the age of 10 or 11 and my liver started to fail. Liver labs not so good, yet again
I really was thinking positive and was sure numbers would be better this week, I kept telling myself that. I go today, had labs and visited with friends who were also their getting labs. Today was a great day. I come home, coordinator calls me says numbers are high again and even higher than before so I get to go back again next week for labs and MRI. I am not going to let this get to me though. I can handle this.The other test about my disease wont be back for a week.
