Double Anniversary
I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that this month is a double anniversary for me. On the 13th I will be 25 years out from my second kidney transplant. December, 25th will mark 30 years post first kidney transplant. It doesn't seem that its been that long ago,I will forever think about the families that made the faithful decision that saved my life and the lives of other complete strangers. Thanksgiving Heart
We had a nice quiet thanksgiving, just three of us because the rest of the family live in Oklahoma.... But at 12:04 a.m. on Friday morning, we got the call! It only took us 24 minutes to get dressed, throw some things in a bag, get out of our gated parking area, drive 10 blocks or so, get ticket in the parking garage, park and get into the hospital up on the 7th floor at the nurses station.
