Hi Randy, I had my transplant on February 26th 2009 after surgery I had a bile leak that they put a stent in, four days later that repaired one leak but there was a tiny leak that was hard to detect so they went back in and cut out the stint complet…

- I am married to a wonderful woman named Sara who has stood by me in the worst of time's. I was in need of a liver and was listed October 13,2008 I received a call from New York-Presbyterian Hospital for a transplant but it was not to be. A week later I got the call at 11:30 PM. Surgery started the next day 2/26/09 at 9:40 and six hours later I had the gift of life.

This precious gift has enabled me to enjoy my family and friends for an extra 71/2 years. I intend to add an additional 25 more years to my life.

I am so happy to hear that you got a liver! I am also pleased to know that the surgery went well. Please continue to take care of yourself, get lots of rest, try to do a little bit of walking everyday to regain your strength, and most of all, DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE YOUR MEDS!
