About Me: Please use this space to tell the community about yourself and your unique experience with transplantation:
Since my heart transplant I have taken up the sport of triathlon. I completed the Malibu Triathlon 11 months after transplant (Sept. 17, 2007) and the Lavaman Triathlon on April 6, 2008. I'm now looking ahead to a full slate of triathlons in 2009. I will do Lavaman again at the end of March. I have a pair of half-Ironmans on the schedule for the summer (Vineman and Big Kahuna). And hopefully the year will end on October 10, 2009 with me becoming the first heart transplant to ever complete the Kona Ironman. That would be a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike, and a 26.2 mile run three years to the day after my transplant.

Palin in book: McCain aides kept me 'bottled up'

The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family. In Palin's new memoir, "Going Rogue," she confirms reports of tension between her aides and those of the 2008 Republican presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain. The vice presidential candidate confirms that she had wanted to speak on election night, but was denied the chance and says she was kept "bottled up" from reporters during the campaign.
